The Saviors of Kamigawa flippers, the ascendants, begin their lives as mortal creatures like the other Kamigawa block flippers. But these enlightened beings don’t just gain in skill like some self-important Nezumi Graverobber, and they don’t betray their mortal allies like some spirit-loving Faithful Squire.
These guys ascend. Once they flip, they aren’t even creatures anymore -- they become powerful, legendary enchantments that represent the focused essence of their mortal forms, reminiscent of Judgment’s incarnations.
The art of the Saviors ascendants portrays this transformation abstractly. Check out how, in each case, the artists show mystical tattoos and markings on the ascendants’ mortal forms, and incorporate those same designs in their ascendant form.

『神河救済』の反転カードサイクルを解説する記事です。
これまでの反転カード同様、最初は定命の生物として登場します。
その後、悟りを開くことで、生物ですらなくなり、その中にあった本質が現れる、という様子を伝説のエンチャントへの反転として表しているそうです。
また、上位者たちの体にある紋様は、反転後のアートを取り入れています。
反転カードゆえに小さくなるアートにも、工夫がされているのは素晴らしいことです。
補足
この記事の中では、『神河謀叛』の反転カードが、定命のものを裏切ったものと解釈されています。
以前取り上げた記事（※１）では、彼らの中にある神が外へ出たものだと解説されていますので、話が合いません。
おそらくは、以前の記事の方が正しいのだと思いますが。

勉強になりました。
来年春の神河セットで、これらの反転カードを意識した両面カードがこないか、個人的にワクワクしております。
過去のオマージュカードとして、サイクルとまでは行かずとも、１枚ぐらい作られてもおかしくありません。
