Blazing Shoal
Betrayers of Kamigawa rare. With modern sets it’s quite rare to see a card that allows for first turn kills in Standard, but pulling it off with this one takes enough cards that R&D was willing to let it see print anyway.

１ターンキルの可能性があることを承知の上で、スタンダードにこのカードを投入した、とのことです。もっとも、親和の方が高速ビートダウンとして猛威を奮ったため、こちらは影が薄かったのですが。
なお、記事中に「最近のセット/modern sets」とありますが、その数年後に「モダン/Modern」において禁止されています。さすがに、後に登場する感染のことまで考えて作ってはいないので、仕方のないことでしょう。このことは、別の記事（※１）でも取り上げられています。
