The art team works hard on a setting’s style guide to make sure the look of the world, and its denizens, remains consistent.
For example, the art of Vassal’s Duty depicts a samurai’s act of obeisance to his lord, a scene which expresses the mechanic of the card (preventing harm to legendary creatures):

The bowing vassal in the card is a legend himself -- you’ll recognize him as the samurai Nagao, as seen on the card Nagao, Bound by Honor:

The lord in the art of Vassal’s Duty is on a card, too. It’s the White head honcho himself, Konda, Lord of Eiganjo:

But hey, note that symbol behind daimyo Konda. See it? It’s Konda’s personal symbol. You’ll recognize it from the card Konda’s Banner:

《臣下の義務/Vassal’s Duty》は、
我が命は主君のもの。この命を主君の平安に捧げるより素晴らしき役は無し。
というフレイバーテキストにある通り、主君を守る侍の忠義を表現しています（※１）。
ここで、頭を下げているのが《義理に縛られし者、長雄/Nagao, Bound by Honor》であり、その主にあたるのが《永岩城の君主、今田/Konda, Lord of Eiganjo》です。背景設定どおりのアートになっています。
また、《永岩城の君主、今田/Konda, Lord of Eiganjo》の背後にある印は、《今田の旗印/Konda’s Banner》にも描かれています。カード名通り、今田を象徴するシンボルマークです。

プレイヤーの方が臣下なのか、というツッコミはありますが。伝説のクリーチャーのダメージを、伝説でないクリーチャーが受けるのであれば、納得しやすかったでしょう。
